Veterans and active members of all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces were present, as well as representatives from the RCMP. Local politicians in attendance were Greg Fergus, Liberal MP for Hull-Aylmer and Speaker of the House of Commons, representing the federal government, André Fortin, Deputy for Pontiac, representing the provincial government, and Mayor Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, representing the municipal government.
