2025 QCNA Better Newspapers Competition
will open for entries on December 9, 2024!
We will be accepting entries from: December 9, 2024 to January 20, 2025
- You will NOT need to submit online or hard copy entries for category A1 The Best Overall Newspaper Award this year. The 2024-2025 winner will be chosen based on the overall wins in the Category A section.
- We had 604 entries by 23 publications in last year’s 2024 competition.
- Judging will begin on February 3, 2025, and close on February 28, 2025.
- The BNC Contest shortlist will be announced on the QCNA webpage in March 2025 and winners awarded at the Annual AGM and Conference (date and location to be announced soon).

The Quebec Community Newspapers Association would like to invite you to be part of our panel of judges for another year of our annual contest celebrating 45 years of community media.
The BNC portal will be open until this date to receive your submissions. The judging period will be February 3, 2025 – February 28, 2025.
Finalists will be posted on the QCNA website after this date.
