Recognized as the official representative of Quebec's official language community newspapers by the federal and provincial governments, we lobby for your rights.

It must be a printed medium which conforms to accepted industry ethics and standards and be primarily devoted to information of local relevance, news, features, editorials, advertising and letters to the editor.
It must have at least 50 percent of its editorial content and 50 percent of its advertising published in English, as measured in any three consecutive issues.
It must have at least 30 percent editorial content, as measured in any three consecutive issues.
It must certify its circulation by annually filing with the QCNA: a printer’s statement, CMCA verified circulation program statement, or accepted external audit.
It must be a community newspaper serving a geographical area or a Quebec community through the predominance of community content.
It must publish at least ten issues per year, and not more than five times per week.
It must have been in existence for one full.
Community media can
be a written, audio, video, or online platform that is primarily
devoted to information, news, features, editorials, advertising and
letters to the editor of relevance to the community it serves.
For publications, they must have at least 30 percent editorial content, as measured in any three consecutive issues.
A community media must serve a geographical area or a Quebec community through the predominance of community content.
Community media must have been in existence for one full year before submitting an application for affiliate membership.
